The mobID™
The mobID™ is the first product with the ability to capture multiple biometrics including 2D facial recognition, fingerprints and voice recognition in real-time. The primary purpose of the moBID™ is the identification of terrorists and subversive individuals that are on wanted or watch lists around the world. The device captures and decodes 1D/2D barcodes and has internal WLAN 802.11b/g connectivity.

Military Rapid Response using mobID

The mobID HBC is unique in that it is ruggedized to Military Standards using a magnesium case that contains its own independent lighting from LED and IR sources. The integrated lighting allows full use of the mobID™ night and day.

The mobID handheld biometric computer puts a new tool in the hands of troops in the field and provides them the ability to:

  • Fingerprint detainees in the field

  • Capture a jpeg image of the detainee 24/7

  • Enroll them using the Neven Vision 2D facial recognition

  • Automatically plot GPS co-ordinates for location

  • Take DNA samples and label them with real-time demographic information printed using a wireless printer in PDF417 barcode (machine and human-readable format)

  • Transmit all of the above information to either a command center locally or via satellite back to Cencom in the US

  • Receive results of any biometric data match in the field location

mobID™ is highly portable and can be worn on a belt, carried in a pocket or mounted in a quick release cradle. mobID comes standard with a smart card (CAC) reader, internal RFID reader, and wireless connectivity including 802.11b/g and GPS. Capabilities include live 2D image capture, speech recognition and the ability to carry out biometric authentications using fingerprint and facial recognition technology. The mobID can also be used to access patient medical records and information from interactive databases that contains drug interaction information or for support of real time medical procedures in the field.
